The iPhone Is Now an Xbox 360 Controller

Microsoft has released a new version of the My Xbox Live app for the iPhone, turning it into a remote control for the console. This means users can play, pause, fast forward, and rewind movies and TV shows from their mobile gadget. You can also browse new entertainment content from Xbox Live right on your phone, and then start watching it on the console. A new iPad and Android version of the app have also been released, but they don’t include the remote control feature.

Microsoft says that the update is not officially part of the SmartGlass second screen technology that was unveiled at E3 last week, but hints that SmartGlass will come to iOS and Android devices in the not too distant future.
