Tony Hawk Dev NeverSoft Working on Call of Duty

NeverSoft, famous for developing the Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero games, has revealed it is now working on the Call of Duty franchise.

The studio’s official site reads: ”We have molded our team into a crack squad of eager developers ready to push the First Person Action genre in support of Activision’s Call of Duty franchise.”

The announcement doesn’t specify whether it’s a standalone title or if the team has partnered with either Treyarch or Infinity Ward to work on the series. Rumors surfaced awhile back claiming that NeverSoft were working on a futuristic sci-fi shooter, so this may point to the developer getting its own Call of Duty title.

The safest bet, based on their size, is that they have joined with one of the other teams to either work on this year’s Black Ops 2 or Infinity Ward’s entry next year.
